The Historic Museum of the Resistance was opened in 1991 in the former village primary school. Photos, illustrational panels and ancient artefacts help retell the history of Italy in general, and in particular that of Versilia during the Second World War and the following period of Resistance.
The National Peace Park is located in the territory surrounding Sant’Anna and coincides with a footpath that winds down past the historical points of interest in Sant’Anna, such as the main church square, the museum and the Cava hill, site of the Ossario Monument, which was erected in memory of the 561 victims massacred by German troops on the 12th August 1944.
